Pleevi provides AI-driven smart charging solutions that optimize energy usage for electric vehicles.

The growing adoption of electric vehicles, particularly in corporate environments, presents a significant challenge: managing charging demand efficiently while ensuring cost-effectiveness and sustainability. Traditional charging solutions struggle to balance fluctuating energy availability, rising electricity costs, and the integration of other energy-consuming systems such as heat pumps and battery storage. Businesses require a smarter, more integrated approach to energy management that ensures reliability without overloading the grid or increasing operational expenses.

Pleevi addresses this challenge by offering an advanced AI-powered platform that optimizes EV charging by considering real-time energy data, dynamic pricing, and predictive analytics based on weather forecasts and building consumption patterns. Unlike traditional solutions, Pleevi’s technology provides a holistic approach, seamlessly integrating other energy consumers to maximize efficiency and sustainability. Its unique value lies in its ability to forecast energy flows up to 24 hours in advance, ensuring a perfect balance between availability, cost, and driver convenience.

Pleevi emerged as a spin-off from the renowned Flemish research institute VITO/EnergyVille, where a dedicated research team specializing in energy optimization developed a cutting-edge algorithm to address the limitations of existing smart charging systems. After extensive testing with early adopters such as Phoenix Contact, the decision was made to commercialize the technology. Wout Lagae and Robin Vanderschueren joined the company as co-founders, bringing their extensive experience from SaaS and API-first companies, adding a strong technological foundation to its growth.

Looking ahead, Pleevi aims to scale its solution across Europe, with a target of managing 25,000 charging points by 2027. As the energy transition accelerates, the company focuses on enabling businesses to achieve carbon-neutral operations by offering a future-proof, intelligent charging infrastructure. With strong investor backing and strategic partnerships, Pleevi envisions becoming a key player in the sustainable energy ecosystem, expanding its solutions to support emerging trends such as vehicle-to-grid (V2G) integration and decentralized energy management.
